There are three major holidays which include: Labor Day (May 1), National Day (October 1) and Spring Festival or Chinese Lunar New Year (January or February). Each of the three holidays last a week! Offices are no more open. Shops and scenic spots are still open, but are often very crowded during these holidays. Just huge number of domestic tourists are pouring to Beijing from all parts of China!
